Let us Develop your players and team to the next level
By choosing to play the world’s Number One team-sport, one should understand that soccer is truly a player’s game un-like Baseball, Football, and Basketball. During the course of a soccer game there are NO time-outs for coaches to give additional instructions to players. Instructions are given at practice, pre-game, half time and post-game. The field is NOT a static environment. It is a constantly changing fluid dynamic battleground. Therefore, it’s the player’s responsibility to be aware of the changes and take advantage of them, which requires focus and concentration.
Our experience teaches us that a player can truly have ‘Soccer fun’ when they LEARN the Fundamentals which are:
- Trapping (the ability to stop the ball on the first touch)
- Passing (the ability to deliver the ball to a team-mate or given point)
- Dribbling (the ability to carry the ball with the feet)
- Shooting (the ability to strike the ball effectively with the feet)
- Heading (the ability to strike the ball effectively with the head)
We will initially conduct a 90 minute player/team assesment that focuses on the following areas:
Physical – agility, balance, coordination, speed.
Mental- soccer mind-set, decision-making, coachable.
Technical – personal skill development.
Tactical – supervised games/ scrimmages (better understanding how to play the game).
Once we conduct the team assessment session, we will be able to assess the players and design the appropriate training plan that meets your team’s need. A coaches meeting will be scheduled to discuss various topics which includes information about our philosophy as well as the team/coaches seasonal plan and/or expectations.
The following is an overview of our curriculum:
BEGINNERS: Ages 4-6 – Laying the Foundation (Eye Foot Coordination)
JUNIORS: Ages 7-12 - Mastering the Fundamentals (The Golden Age)
SENIORS: Ages 13- 16 – Tactical Awareness (Mastering Positional Play)
Personal training is intended to help individual players master the 5 basic soccer skills – trapping, dribbling, passing, shooting and heading; and to teach proper techniques to execute these skills as well as to concentrate on his/her area of improvement as a player. It is a group of individual players with sound skills that make for a successful and well-rounded soccer team.
